INITIATIVES

 

The employment unit engaged in the following broad outreach initiatives in accordance with various elements of FCC Rule 73.2080(c) (2):

 


Participated in

Job fairs by station personnel who have substantial responsibility in making hiring decisions.

 

 

 

Established an internship program designed to assist members of the community to acquire skills needed for broadcast employment.

 

 

 

Sponsored at least 2 events in the community designed to inform and educate the public as to employment opportunities in broadcasting.


9/15 -USCB Job Fair. The Station General Manager & the Director of Sales had a booth and gathered resumes and conducted on site interviews for sales, programming and promotion positions.

 

 

 

 

1 intern position was filled from June-July 2017

 

 

 

 

 9/20/16: Beaufort Business Expo.  Our stations’ served as exclusive radio sponsors of this event for the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce.

 

3/14/17-Workforce Seminar.  Our stations were the exclusive radio stations at this event sponsored by the Hilton Head/Bluffton Chamber of Commerce.
